Rebecca offers over 20 years of experience as an intellectual property paralegal in litigation, patent, trademark, and copyright matters.
She began her career with Oppenheimer, Wolf & Donnelly LLP (formerly Poms, Smith, Lande & Rose), supporting patent prosecutors on U.S. and foreign (PCT) patent administration, including maintaining database systems for tracking and preparing domestic and international patent, trademark and copyright applications. Rebecca also has similar experience with other law firms such as O’Connor Christensen and McLaughlin and The Eclipse Group LLP.
Rebecca’s responsibilities as Senior Trial Paralegal for Avyno Law include preparing for and assisting in jury and non-jury trials in federal courts throughout the United States, as well as in California state courts; preparing for and assisting in appeals before the United States Supreme Court, Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Ninth Circuit; and performing numerous support duties including drafting declarations, discovery requests, initial disclosures, conducting document review/production, legal research and case management.
Rebecca’s educational background is comprised of studies in liberal arts at Pasadena College in Pasadena, California, as well as having received her Paralegal Certificate-California Equivalent in 1997. She has also completed multiple paralegal and continuing legal education programs through the University of California, Irvine and University of California, Los Angeles.
